The Spirit of Laziness

Good Morning! I come to you with the spirit of laziness on my heart. Here's my question, do you ever feel completely lazy? I'm sure many of you would raise your hand and say "yes", depending on the day or situation of course. I'm experiencing the feeling of laziness as I approach this dreary Thursday morning. It's slightly humid and gray outside, chances of rain threatening our summer day. But I notice I am not feeling lazy due to the cloudy weather heading us to harbor indoors. I've felt this sense of laziness for the past couple of weeks. And I am drawn to dissect it, yearning for understanding. Here's where I feel lazy.... The foods I am feeding my family. Simple sandwiches with a side of carrots and water. One pot meals with no veggie sides, McDonald's breakfast, chips and fruit snacks for snacking, cold cereal for breakfast and lunch, and the list goes on. The house I am living in. I go in spurts here. I will have weeks when I am on top...

Tidy House

March 12th, 2017 I just spent the whole day tidying my house. Not cleaning, tidying, like picking up everybody's stuff laying around the house. Seriously though, I love tidying. The picking up and putting things back in their place. Finding the missing sock and marrying it back to its lone mate, finding toys stuffed between seat cushions and putting them in their rightful place, making the kids bed and putting their favorite toy or stuff animal as the centerpiece of their bed, laundry is caught up, just the simple act of putting things back into their place. It's work, but it's refreshing the rest of the week knowing lost items were found, broken pieces tossed, and everything is put in its rightful place, at least for that  day. My floors still need cleaned, urine clings to bathroom toilets, tabletops need dusted, but everything is tidy. I feel like I can breathe more easily when I can see floor space or counter space.
